Practitioner only Products vs Retail Products

Know the difference

Over the years I’ve had many people approaching me and telling me, despite all the supplements they are taking, they are not feeling the benefits. For example, I had a lady telling me she had been taking Vitamin D supplements for many years but her levels won’t go up. After digging a bit deeper, I had found out, that she had been taking an over the counter Vitamin D supplement, which had a minimal amount of Vitamin D, 333IU/per tablet.
If you have a Vitamin D deficiency this micro amount will not increase your Vitamin D levels to the desired optimal level. Someone who is Vitamin D deficient, I recommend to dose between 1000-2000IU/ per day, or more. So, can you spot the difference here?

Over 50% of the Australian population purchase vitamin, mineral and herbal supplements every year. Majority of these purchases are made at pharmacies and supermarkets, without advice or recommendation from a qualified natural health practitioner (Naturopath or Nutritionist)

Today, I want to make you aware of the HUGE difference between the retail brands stocked on supermarket and pharmacy shelves and the Practitioner Only Products that only qualified Naturopaths and Nutritionist are able to prescribe.

Here are some examples of these differences:

• Practitioner Only Products contain a therapeutic dose of clinical nutrients and herbs. These doses have been scientifically tested and proven to aid in the condition they are indented for. Generally, retail supplements do not contain such high doses, making them insufficient and ineffective, as shown in the example above. Yes, they are much cheaper, but you are wasting your money.

• The forms of the nutrients are often very different; not all forms are created equal. Practitioner Only Products contain researched ingredients with high bio-availability (meaning our bodies are actually able to absorb and utilize them) whereas most retail brands use cheap form available, forms that our body are unable to break down and use. I give you an example: Some conventional Health Care professionals often prescribe iron supplements for iron deficiency, one of the most commonly used brands is Ferro-C (ferrous fumerate); this particular form of iron is poorly absorbed often leading to constipation. Practitioner Only products contain a different form of iron which does NOT cause constipation and is high bio-available.

• The same can be said for herbal supplement; only specific parts of the plant are therapeutically effective. Practitioner Only products always use this portion of the plant, whereas retail supplements tend to opt for the cheapest option which may not be therapeutically effective. For example, Research can be done on the root of a herb and show therapeutic benefits but if the leaf of the herb is used instead, the herb will not have the same results.

• The location a herb is grown an also impact on its therapeutic actions; Practitioner Only Products do comprehensive testing to ensure that the highest quality plant is used from a specific location. For example, if research shows therapeutic benefits with a certain species such as one grown in Boveria using a Mexican species of the same herb may not give the same results.
